UW Theme 2.0 version 2.4.0 release

On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, the WordPress UW Theme was updated to version 2.4.0 in the WiscWeb service. A full list of changes in this version of the UW Theme can be reviewed in the changelog.

Here are some noteworthy highlights:

Events and Post List pattern

This new pattern allows for the side-by-side display of events and news posts. It displays under the “Post Listings” category for patterns.

In UW Theme 2.0, a pattern displays a side-by-side view of events and news. Events appear on the left and news appears on the right.

Post Title and Date pattern

This pattern allows users to easily add back a post title and date in case they had to reset their post content during a migration. It displays under the “Page Title” category for patterns.

In UW Theme 2.0, a post title pattern can be added to the page. It displays the post title with a red mini bar above it. Below, the date posted will display.
