On Thursday, October 14, the WordPress UW Theme was updated to version 1.16.0 in the WiscWeb service. A full list of changes in this version of the UW Theme can be reviewed in the changelog. This theme release is primarily focused on bug fixes and updates to ACF functionality. However, it also includes a fun, new addition to Post list display options.
Here are a few of the highlights:
This release includes an update to Posts which allows users to add up to three related posts to an article.
Full steps for this process are outlined in the Related Posts KnowledgeBase document (opens in new tab).
Updated Styles for Accessibility View of Gravity Forms
Gravity Forms recently released a more accessible view option that is ‘on’ for new forms by default (existing forms would have to switch to this view). It’s a much more accessible option than the legacy view and we recommend switching to it as soon as you are able!
Please Note: The vendor advises that you test the new markup before disabling legacy markup.
This accessible view showed text in small, Verlag font previously. This update changes the font to mimic the legacy view, which is more readable and user-friendly.
To learn more about how to switch your forms to this view, please review our Gravity Forms Accessibility documentation (opens in new tab).
Larger Images for Image Gallery
We have changed the image size for clicked images in the in-page image carousel. Images that are selected for viewing will now appear in WordPress’s large size rather than medium_large.
Featured Content Block Bug Fix
A bug was found in the Featured Content Block page element where images with links on them are scaling to 100% of the container width, while those without a link are not scaling. This fix removes the image scaling on images with links.
