- Exercise caution – Please exercise caution with copying and pasting AI-generated content and code into your site. AI isn’t considering the UW Theme code, plugin code, or how things work in the backend of WiscWeb. If things aren’t curated correctly, your webpage or website can stop working as expected.
- Don’t proceed if you are feeling unsure – Always confirm you know exactly what the content/code is doing before implementing it. If you’re at all hesitant or unsure, it’s best to pause.
- Reach out if you need help – If you aren’t sure what the AI-generated content is doing, whether or not it is accurate, or if there might be impacts, please reach out to us via our Customer Support Form. We are happy to provide our best effort to review and confirm for you.
- Divulge AI use in support cases – If you do encounter an issue after using AI-generated content on your WiscWeb site, please share these details with us. They are incredibly helpful for troubleshooting the cause of problems you might be seeing. Without this information, our team may spend significant time troubleshooting an issue that may be easily identifiable with this insight.
The use of AI-generated content is growing in popularity. As a reminder, WiscWeb operates on a shared multisite network, meaning that issues on one site can impact other sites in the network.
