On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, the WordPress UW Theme was updated to version 1.40.0 in the WiscWeb service. A full list of changes in this version of the UW Theme can be reviewed in the changelog.
This release includes an update for ACF Pro as well as a change to improve accessibility of breadcrumbs code.
ACF Pro update
Within this release, we have upgraded the theme to ACF Pro 6.4.3.
Title attribute removed from breadcrumbs
This is an accessibility improvement to remove redundant titles since title text was identical to link text.
