There are changes coming to the reCAPTCHA tooling for Gravity Forms and you may already be impacted.
What’s happening?
Gravity Forms is slowly deprecating their built-in reCAPTCHA solution and instead guiding users towards their reCAPTCHA add-on.
Note: The addition of this add-on is currently in review by the WiscWeb team.
Details for those already using reCAPTCHA
If you are currently using reCAPTCHA on your site, you now have a legacy view. Your instance of reCAPTCHA should stay in place until the vendor fully deprecates the feature (date unknown). However, if you rebuild your site and request a new project space, you won’t be able to add reCAPTCHA back using the old method. This could include cases where you migrate your site to UW Theme 2.0.
Details for those wishing to setup reCAPTCHA on a new site
You will not be able to add reCAPTCHA on your new website, until the WiscWeb team has time to review the reCAPTCHA add-on solution.
