This message is intended for groups still using the Events Calendar plugin. Please check the usage list to find out if your site is impacted by this change.
This is a reminder that Events Calendar will be deactivated for all WiscWeb sites on October 31, 2023. Once deactivated, access to old Events Calendar content will go away.
Thank you to those who have already migrated! We’re at a 90% deactivation rate, which is incredible progress 🎉!
For those of you still working on this migration, we hope this information is helpful:
I think I’m done migrating
If you have moved all your old Events Calendar events to an alternative and believe you’re done with the migration, please let us know so we can turn it off the plugin on your site.
I have questions about the migration
Our most frequently asked questions about the migration are documented on our website. However, we’re also happy to meet with groups to work through questions 1×1. For this, please schedule time in WiscWeb office hours.
I haven’t gotten started yet
If you are still using the plugin, please ensure you have a plan in place for migrating your site. Our team can help along the way so please do not hesitate to get in touch. WiscWeb office hours are a great opportunity to walk through plans with a member of the team. Please be aware, when the plugin is deactivated, all data will be lost for events created using the Events Calendar.
I’m not sure if I migrated things correctly
If you think you’ve completed the process but aren’t 100% positive, consider scheduling office hours with a staff member to review your progress. We can assess the site and confirm you have completed all of the steps.
I’m struggling and need some help
If you are struggling with this transition for whatever reason, please let us know. A member of our team will connect with you and we’ll do our best to assist you through the process. We understand this is a major change and want to make sure you have what you need to feel confident in your migration. We’ve also blocked time in our schedules to assist with these needs.
As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
