We are now offering regular virtual open lab sessions for folks who are building out their WiscWeb sites in WordPress. Several members of our staff will be available to answer questions and assist you with building out your new website. The team is also provide best-effort assistance with topics such as User Experience, Content Management, and Accessibility.
Staff from the Center for Digital Accessibility & User Experience will be available at this WiscWeb Open Lab and look forward to talking with you about what steps to take to make your website more user-friendly and accessible. They can help you think through how to:
- Understand users’ goals
- Organize content and navigation
- Make the best use of components in the UW WordPress theme
- Write content that is optimized for people and search
- Ensure that your content and site are accessible to all
While Center staff will be available as part of the drop-in assistance that Open Labs provides, if you are interested in meeting one-on-one with a member of the team during an Open Lab, please get in touch with us ahead of time to make sure the appropriate team member is available by emailing jessica.jones@wisc.edu.
