The Basics of Google Analytics
March 8, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Thinking about using Google Analytics on your campus website, or already have it set up but not sure what to do with it? The Basics of Google Analytics training will help answer some of your introductory questions. Topics covered will include why you might use it to better understand your website traffic and keep visitors returning, and how to approach your analytics data. This training will also include an introductory walkthrough of a campus Google Analytics dashboard.
Please bring your laptop to participate. A detailed agenda will be provided. The first hour of this training session is intended for instruction and review, and will be followed by a 60-minute Open Lab session for additional Q&A and support time.
This course is designed for users with little to no experience using Google Analytics, and are looking to begin using this service with their campus website. More experienced users should register for one of the more advanced training sessions offered in the coming months.
This will also be streamed live via the WiscWeb Youtube channel, and archived for future reference. If you plan to watch the stream, you do not need to register for the course.
This session is free to all UW-Madison website and content managers and creators as a collaborative service of the UW-Madison Center For Digital Accessibility and User Experience and WiscWeb.
